Bill knew the fear his students had when they faced the blank canvas. He felt those fears himself at the beginning of his career. That’s why he encouraged his students and fans to reach inside themselves and find the power we all have to overcome any obstacle blocking our path to success. Bill realized that life, like the blank canvas, can be frightening at times. He experienced the horrors of two world wars, left his home and began a new life in a new country. He faced obstacles that would have stopped many people. But he never lost sight of his goal – his dream of becoming an artist. He wanted all of us to face life, like that blank canvas, unafraid and focused on our dreams.
