My technique

We stumbled across this clip at the beginning of a video we’re editing for our members. To understand what was going on about the time this video was filmed, one artist, in particular, was claiming Bill’s technique as his own. In fact, he, pretty much, claimed everything of Bill’s as his own…from everything that Bill said…even to how Bill penned his signature.

Bill gave his technique to the world freely and without qualification. All he wanted was a bit of acknowledgment for his contribution to art. The one person who could have acknowledged Bill refused to do so in a, now famous, New York Times article. This video was filmed after that article came out.

Do you think Bill was asking too much?

We don’t…and have pledged to restore Bill’s legacy. This mission is what gets us out of bed in the morning and makes us work harder than anyone to make sure this selfless, humble man is given credit for his contributions to the world of art.

Yes! It makes me upset to see this, but I have seen so many talented people, like Bill, have their credit snatched away. Bosses have done it to their creative workers, and Show Business is famous for stealing ideas. I have seen a clip where Bill turns over the mighty brush to Ross on t.v. and Ross thanking him with an expressionless face and zero enthusiasm. Ah, let’s keep working and going ahead.
