One of our French fans asked if we could show how to create a color for sand. She also wanted to know how to paint footprints. So this clip will show how Alexander Master Artist Tom Anderson creates a color for his sand dunes in the painting “The Palm Tree.” This is a painting from our “You Can Paint” Master Class. Tom is a master of mixing colors and will create this sand color from four different colors.

In tomorrow’s video clip, we’ll show how to create footprints. Stay tuned…

    I have some ideas for sand mixtures:

    – Alizarin Crimson with Sap Green and/or Titanium White

    – Yellow Ochre and/or Indian Yellow with Burnt Umber and/or Burnt Sienna

    That said, I would like to know which of the Alexander brand paints are opaque and which are transparent…
