Do you feel overwhelmed trying to find someone to teach you to paint?

Don’t waste your time having to learn everything all over again!

Let’s say you want to learn to oil paint. You head over to Google and search on the phrase “learn to oil paint.” Whoa, horsey! — 7,970,000 results! At the bottom of the page, Google suggests, even more, articles if you weren’t sure about your original search phrase. For example, “Oil Painting For Beginners,” “Basic Oil Painting Techniques,” “Oil Painting Tutorial!” Oh my, where do you even start?

So you hop over to YouTube to watch painting tutorials. Entering “How to oil paint” brings up 494,000 results. Oh, my! As you start jumping around from video to video, you realize most of the painters are amateurs. Some videos are in a foreign language. Other folks aren’t really oil painters. Then you realize most of them aren’t even teachers. Most of the videos are “watch me” videos, not “I’ll teach you how to paint” videos.

How do you find a teacher?

We’re not saying you can’t learn from the vast amount of videos on YouTube. If you have years to devote to find the right video or searching for the right painter, that’s fine. What we are suggesting is you should be judicious about how you spend your time. You could spend the rest of your life searching for a teacher and then realize that there is no time left to paint. Worse, you might find what they taught was wrong. Now you need to relearn everything – from scratch! How DO you find a teacher who knows what they are doing?

Searching for the source

I started painting about two years ago. I started with another guy. He made the process of painting look easy. It was not! My paintings were a disaster. I almost gave up. Then I discovered Bill Alexander, watched his videos, and realized I’d found the master! Not only was Bill a master artist, but he was a master teacher. My paintings began to improve immediately. What I learned from that experience is that you have to be patient and search for the source.

When I became interested in internet marketing, I discovered plenty of folks claiming to be experts. I knew that wasn’t possible. So I donned my Indiana Jones fedora and began to trace the source of their information back to the true “masters.” It wasn’t easy, but when I found them, I knew I could rely on their advice.

It’s the same thing with learning to paint. Why waste time watching the student when you can learn from the master? Bill Alexander was the original. He had the story. Bill had the experience. Bill’s innovations improved the wet-on-wet style of painting. Only one other artist contributed to oil painting like Bill did – and he teaches our Master Class art course!

Your search is over!

Bill spent a lifetime developing and perfecting his method of oil painting. He broke it down into easy to follow steps. His method of oil painting makes learning to paint easy and fun.

More than that, Bill wanted to share what he’d created – what he’d learned – with you! We are continuing Bill’s mission by sharing his videos and those of Alexander Master Artist Tom Anderson.

Who is teaching you to paint? Are you learning from an amateur or a master? Do you want to paint cute pictures of barns or do you want to learn the techniques of creating great art? Do you want to watch the student or learn from the master?

Will Alexander lessons be televised? What channel?
    Will there be a charge?
    Will it be oils?
