Create that flat feeling…

Bill has an image in his mind of what he wants to paint. He has already created the water fall in the split between the two farther mountain ranges. Now he wants to bring the water forward into the painting. He decides to create the illusion of a flat area between the far mountain ranges and the closer one. The point he’s trying to make is that you are the creator and you can decide how you want to render the painting. Notice how he binds the far and near mountain ranges to create a connection between the two. The waterfall drops in the distance, disappears for a moment, and then reappears in the divide he has created. This is such a subtle addition to the painting but adds so much as you will see in the upcoming clips.
